The "Cardiac" Chicago Bears have had their backs up against the wall plenty this season.
With seven combined regular- and post-season victories coming after they trailed with two minutes or less remaining in the fourth quarter, they've well earned the title as the NFL's comeback kings.
But facing the end of their season, with a fourth-and-4 from the Los Angeles Rams' 14-yard line with 27 seconds left while trailing by seven?
That's a different beast entirely.
After Caleb Williams took the snap, Chicago's season seemed to have run out of magic. The Bears' offensive line was overrun by the Rams' defensive front, sending the second-year quarterback scrambling back towards his own endzone.
Then, Williams uncorked what can only be described as the football version of a fadeaway jumper, sending a pass skyward down the field.
After some hand fighting, Bears tight end Cole Kmet broke free from Rams defensive back Cobie Durant to catch a stunning score, which sent the game to overtime.
Williams' daring heave sent social media into a frenzy, as even though the Bears ended up losing in overtime, they gave fans one last gasp of euphoria before the clock finally hit zero on their season.
